Order notifications are a crucial part of staying on top of incoming orders from customers. PortalPuff ensures that all order notifications are sent directly to the email address you provide in the Email field on your store’s profile. This helps keep you and your team informed about every new order in real time.
Email-Based Notifications
When a customer places an order, a notification will automatically be sent to the email address entered in the Email field in your store details.
Since PortalPuff is web-based, we do not send notifications directly from the dashboard. All order updates are handled via email.
Real-Time Alerts
Notifications include important details about the order, such as the items purchased, customer information, and delivery instructions.
To ensure you never miss an order, we recommend the following setup:
Log in to Your Dashboard
Visit login.portalpuff.com and log in to your account.
Click “Update Store Information”
Locate and click the “Update Store Information” button.
Enter Your Email Address
In the Email field (as highlighted in the image below), enter the email address where you want to receive order notifications.
Save Changes
Click “Submit” to save the email address.
To streamline order management and ensure your team stays informed:
Create a New Email Account
Use an email address specifically for order notifications, such as [storename]delivery@gmail.com.
This keeps order emails separate from your personal or general business emails, ensuring nothing gets missed.
Share Access with Employees
Provide login access to your employees so they can receive and check notifications directly on their phones.
This allows your team to stay updated on new orders even when they are not near a computer.
Enable Push Notifications: On your email app, turn on push notifications for the order email account so your team gets instant alerts.
Check Spam Folders: Occasionally check your spam folder to ensure no order notifications are being filtered out.
Test the Setup: Place a test order to confirm that notifications are being sent to the correct email address.
